Iris Care is a boutique family owned and operated business inspired by our passion for equality and social justice. With over 30 years of combined experience in support work, disability, mental health, community justice and care. We offer a “jack of all trades” support service where no job is too big or too small with a wholistic approach to participant support.
Besides our lengthy professional experience, for the last 17 years we have cared for one of our fathers after he suffered a debilitating stroke. Having to navigate the health care system, disability support services and later the NDIS has inspired us to provide an individualised, straight forward and easy support process for people to live how they choose in their homes and in the community. This also means we understand the need for third party, carer and stakeholder involvement to ensure best possible outcomes for people.
The Iris flower is known for its individualised beauty and colouring, always found with different shaped petals but still equally a flower, we believe this is a beautiful representation of all people being different but equal. The meaning of "Iris" is hope and trust and we believe this is the foundation of the relationships we as a service hope to build with people.
